The Peregrine Uses
"What games can be played with The Peregrine?"
The current version of The Peregrine is most effective in RTS titles like Heroes of Newerth, StarCraft, WarCraft III, and Defense of the Ancients, as well as MMORPGs such as World of WarCraft. But really, The Peregrine is great for any game in which you are required to use lots of hotkeys and need to respond quickly. Some people enjoying using The Peregrine for tower defense games and other cool niche applications, and many also use The Peregrine in FPS titles like Counter-Strike and Call of Duty.
"Can I use it for Photoshop, AutoCAD, Maya, and/or other drafting and design programs?"
With some basic configuring, The Peregrine can certainly be used in drafting and design applications. Many designers and drafters have expressed strong interest in using The Peregrine to trigger shortcuts in such programs, with a glove on one hand, and mouse or tablet in the other. This arrangement would not only make things easier and more efficient, but it’d also improve posture and provide a more comfortable way to interact with your design or draft program.
"Will The Peregrine work for applications that aren’t video games?"
Yes! The Peregrine works essentially as a keyboard on your hand. You can configure the glove to trigger all sorts of commands, and applications won’t notice the difference between the glove and a regular keyboard. If you can use a keyboard for it, you can use The Peregrine! So get creative and have some fun… or do some work. The glove’s a precision tool, and it’s up to you how you use it.
"Will there be a version for consoles like XBOX, Wii and PlayStation?"
We will eventually release special versions of The Peregrine for consoles, but it’s going to be a little while.
