configuration/first use
I just got the glove, ran the full calibration, and tried to set up some keys, but nothing is working. The glove is showing "CONNECTED" In the glovebox, but on the "remap" page when I enter in keys, they don't show up in the text box at the bottom. changing around keymaps is also confusing, there is no descrition, on the glove interface page it shows "Active Keymap", right to the right of that it shows "Keymap: Keymap 1" and under the test map page there is another "use Keymap: Keymap 1" selection, so its pretty disorganized but when I press keys as I have them configured the "Key Pressed" test screen shows nothing. When I try to get it to work in here as well, nothing. I tried loading a premade profile (also not very easy to understand) and the keys are showing up, but they are not being detected. Thanks.

Mark,
Did the calibration work? Did the boxes on the fingers turn from red to green as you touched the various places on your hand? Please make sure your pod is seated correctly on the back of the glove. If this isn't working there is something wrong.
Active Keymap is the keymap your glove is currently using / set on. This is the most important one.
Keymap:Keymap 1 - This lets you select which keymap you want to remap. It's setup this way so you can remap a keymap without having the change your active keymap.
Test Map - Keymap Selection - Let's you test various keymaps.
I will admit it can be a bit confusing, we appreciate your feedback and perhaps we will be able to think of simpler ways to let users change and cycle keymaps.
If you are still having issues we can do a quick phone call to sort it out if you would like. Thank you for choosing the Peregrine.

yes they changed green, but now are appearing all red with the thumb tip and the bottom middle finger pad blue. I got it to "work" somehow, I unplugged the USB cable and plugged it back in, and then the keys started to spam themselves when I wasn't touching anything. I have re-calibrated a few times already. Thanks for the help so far.

Mark,
Play around with it for a bit, if it still won't work how about we do a phone call to try to sort it out? It should work right out of the box. Some users have to do occasional troubleshooting. We want you to have a good experience. I will be watching for your response.

Mark,
We have seen this happen on rare occasions and it is usually due to one of four things:
1 - Glove resting on metal surface
2 - Glove resting in a position where the thumb makes contact with the fingers
3 - Messy power supply
4 - Short circuit in the glove finger wires
1 and 2 are pretty easy - lift your glove off the desk and lay it flat on a plastic bag or piece of paper. This will eliminate the possibility of unwanted conductivity causing the glove to trigger random key presses.
3 - Do you have access to another computer? Please try the glove on another system if you can. We have seen a very small number of systems with strange power supply issues cause problems with the glove. Unwanted excess static or improper grounding can cause issues as well.
4 - Visually inspect the wires that run from the fingers to the pod on the back of the hand. Are any of them touching or really close together, especially where they connect into the pod?
Please let me know if this helps. One way or another we will solve this so you can start enjoying your Peregrine.
