Preliminary purchase inquiry
I've been recently purchased a tablet pc in order to make the sculpting work preformed with Zbrush accessible from anywhere. However, a slight oversight on my behalf... if I'm using my convertible compu-gizmo to draw and sculpt on, how the heck will I access the keyboard?! DOH! Now I really like everything about your product, from the look the functionality and most definitely the size! Being a 6'6" person I have difficulty fitting into most gloves/shoes/vehicles. Thank you for making a product accessible to people of all sizes. And kudos for making it aesthetically pleasing enough to not make the ladies point and laugh.
Now for my quick question before I buy a dozen Peregrines and send them to my closest friends for Christmas. I see that it is possible to program any button-shortcut/hotkey combination into the glove. Is it possible to hold down the button instead of only triggering it? In ZBrush I'm required to hold down the shift key while drawing in order to smooth over my brush strokes.
Thanks in advance. Looking forward to seeing your product on something like Attack Of The Show Gadget Pron. Think you would fare well with that crowd of gamers.

David,
Very cool application for the Peregrine! To answer your question, the Peregrine will respond just like a regular keyboard, in fact your system will not know the difference since the Peregrine uses standard HID Keyboard drivers. So when you hold down Shift on the Peregrine, the computer will respond in exactly the same way as if you were holding down Shift on a regular keyboard.
Here is a tested usage scenario for you. I have personally played hundreds of games of StarCraft 2 with the Peregrine, and every game I use a glove Touchpoint to hold down "Shift" and queue multiple unit commands and it responds exactly as the keyboard would. So yes, it will respond exactly as if you are holding down the Shift key..
Right now modifier keys such as Shift, Alt and Ctrl can be programmed to the palm pad. This is a design feature so that you can trigger other keys if desired to create key combos such as CTRL-C, CTRL-V, etc.
And the ladies will not point and laugh, instead they will swoon over your amazingly hot new Peregrine glove! :D Please let us know if you have any other questions.
